This wandering path led me into the private sector where I moved from advising companies on how to deal effectively with governments, to running a billion business in superannuation. And how I oscillate between being a non-executive director and an executive coach. As you see, my career has no clear direction, no single expertise and no sole passion. But I have pursued my own path and loved every minute of it. I blame my mother for my persistence and motherhood for my fixation with multi-tasking! Like all lists of this sort, they seem to promise a quick and easy fix. Success risks becoming just a function of personality, public image, attitudes and behaviours, skills and techniques. While these factors are important, it leaves out ones inner compass--character, principles and values, things like courage, fairness, integrity, patience, service, and human dignity. To e Stephen Covey of Seven Habits fame, principles are guidelines for human conduct that are proven to have enduring, permanent value. When these truths are internalized into habits, they empower people to create a wide variety of practices to deal with different situations. This is the way that we prepare for the sometimes harsh realities of life--like not getting ones dream job on the first attempt. After the collapse of the Soviet entire the ed States emerged as the sole superpower. No other power, or the combination of powers, could challenge its supremacy. But the unipolar world did not take root. When President Bush sought to assert Americas supremacy by invading Iraq on false pretences he achieved the exact opposite of what he intended. The ed States suffered a precipitous decline in its power and influence. So the disarray in the international financial system is matched by instability in international relations. The new order that will eventually emerge will not be dominated by the ed States to the same extent as the old one. To understand what is happening we need a different conceptual framework from the one to which we have been accustomed. The efficient market hypothesis looks at financial markets in isolation and totally disregards politics. But that gives a distorted picture. As I have pointed out several times, behind the invisible hand of markets there is the visible hand of politics which establishes the rules and conditions in which the market mechanism operates. My conceptual framework relates to the political economy, not the market economy as an abstract construct that is governed by timelessly valid laws. I look at financial markets as a branch of history. 201409/326672Prince Charles has some similarities with Nicole Kidman. They have similar sound of eyes. So you relate people that you wouldnt relate,当你将一些毫无相关的人联系起来时,and you can actually also create concerts by looking at the audience faces. So I connect the eye, and then I play the audiences faces. The good thing about this is,这么做的好处是,if the concert doesnt sound good, its their fault. Its not my fault, because—这不是我的错,原因你知道的—And so another thing that happens is that I started having this secondary effect that normal sounds started to become color. I heard a telephone tone, and it felt green because it sounded just like the color green. The B beeps, they sound turquoise, B and listening to Mozart became a yellow experience,的哔声,它们是蓝绿色的,还有听莫扎特的歌成了一场黄色的体验,so I started to paint music and paint peoples voices,所以我开始给音乐和人们的声音上色,because peoples voices have frequencies that I relate to color. And heres some music translated into color. For example, Mozart, Queen of the Night, looks like this. Very yellow and very colorful,很绚黄,很多,because theres many different frequencies. And this is a completely different song. Its Justin Biebers Baby.这是Justin Bieber的Baby。It is very pink and very yellow. So, also voices, I can transform speeches into color,还有声音,我能把演讲也变成颜色,for example, these are two very well-known speeches. One of them is Martin Luther Kings I Have A Dream,一个是马丁路德金的我有一个梦想,and the other one is Hitler.

I mean, the women should be paid as much as the men. Everywhere I go, women tell me they ask for raises. Everywhere I go, women say theyre getting better relationships with their spouses, asking for more help at home, asking for the promotions they should be getting at work,不论走到哪里,女性都说 她们的夫妻关系更好了她们在家里要求更多帮助 在公司则要求应得的升职。and importantly, believing it themselves.Even little things. One of the governors of one of the states told me that he didnt realize that more women were, in fact, literally sitting on the side of the room,某州州长曾经告诉我 他从没注意到更多女性确实地坐在房间角落里which they are, and now he made a rule that all the women on his staff need to sit at the table. The foundation I started along with the book Lean In helps women, or men, start circles-small groups,我成立了一个基金会 跟《向前一步》在一起帮助女性或男性,成立一些小组。it can be 10, it can be however many you want, which meet once a month. I would have hoped that by now, wed have about 500 circles. That wouldve been great. You know, 500 times roughly 10. 10。There are over 12,000 circles in 50 countries in the world. Wow, thats amazing. SS: And these are people who are meeting every single month. I met one of them, I was in Beijing. A group of women, theyre all about 29 or 30, they started the first Lean In circle in Beijing, several of them grew up in very poor, rural China. These women are 29, they are told by their society that they are left over, because they are not yet married,她们 29 岁,被社会称为剩女。 and the process of coming together once a month at a meeting is helping them define who they are for themselves. What they want in their careers. The kind of partners they want, if at all. I looked at them, we went around and introduced ourselves, and they all said their names and where theyre from, and I said, Im Sheryl Sandberg, and this was my dream. And I kind of just started crying. Right, which, I admit, I do. Right? Ive talked about it before. But the fact that a woman so far away out in the world, who grew up in a rural village,然而,一个成长在小农村里, 离我那么远的女性whos being told to marry someone she doesnt want to marry, can now go meet once a month with a group of people and refuse that, and find life on her own terms. Thats the kind of change we have to hope for. Have you been surprised by the global nature of the message? Because I think when the book first came out, many people thought, well, this is a really important handbook for young women on their way up. They need to look at this, anticipate the barriers, and recognize them, put them out in the open, have the dialogue about it,她们需要看看,了解和认识那些阻碍。把阻碍写出来,but that its really for women who are that. Doing that. Pursuing the corporate world. And yet the book is being , as you say, in rural and developing countries. What part of that has surprised you, and perhaps led to a new perspective on your part? The book is about self-confidence, and about equality.

This week, together with our allies and partners, we reached an historic understanding with Iran, which, if fully implemented, will prevent it from obtaining a nuclear weapon and make our country, our allies, and our world safer. This framework is the result of tough, principled diplomacy. Its a good deal-a deal that meets our core objectives, including strict limitations on Irans program and cutting off every pathway that Iran could take to develop a nuclear weapon. This deal denies Iran the plutonium necessary to build a bomb. It shuts down Irans path to a bomb using enriched uranium. Iran has agreed that it will not stockpile the materials needed to build a weapon. Moreover, international inspectors will have unprecedented access to Irans nuclear program because Iran will face more inspections than any other country in the world. If Iran cheats, the world will know it. If we see something suspicious, we will inspect it. So this deal is not based on trust, its based on unprecedented verification. And this is a long-term deal, with strict limits on Irans program for more than a decade and unprecedented transparency measures that will last for 20 years or more. And as a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, Iran will never be permitted to develop a nuclear weapon. In return for Irans actions, the international community, including the ed States, has agreed to provide Iran with phased relief from certain sanctions. If Iran violates the deal, sanctions can be snapped back into place. Meanwhile, other American sanctions on Iran for its support of terrorism, its human rights abuses, its ballistic missile program, all will continue to be enforced. As I said this week, many key details will need to be finalized over the next three months, and nothing is agreed to until everything is agreed. And if there is backsliding, there will be no deal. Here in the ed States, I expect a robust debate. Well keep Congress and the American people fully briefed on the substance of the deal. As we engage in this debate, lets remember—we really only have three options for dealing with Irans nuclear program: bombing Irans nuclear facilities—which will only set its program back a few years—while starting another war in the Middle East; abandoning negotiations and hoping for the best with sanctions—even though thats always led to Iran making more progress in its nuclear program; or a robust and verifiable deal like this one that peacefully prevents Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. As President and Commander in Chief, I firmly believe that the diplomatic option—a comprehensive, long-term deal like this—is by far the best option. For the ed States. For our allies. And for the world. Our work-this deal-is not yet done. Diplomacy is painstaking work. Success is not guaranteed. But today we have an historic opportunity to prevent the sp of nuclear weapons in Iran, and to do so peacefully, with the international community firmly behind us. And this will be our work in the days and months ahead in keeping with the best traditions of American leadership. 201504/369157 President Powers, Provost Fenves, Deans, members of the faculty, family and friends and most importantly, the class of 2014. Congratulations on your achievement. Its been almost 37 years to the day that I graduated from UT.I remember a lot of things about that day.I remember I had throbbing headache from a party the night before. I remember I had a serious girlfriend, whom I later married-thats important to remember by the way-and I remember that I was getting commissioned in the Navy that day.But of all the things I remember, I dont have a clue who the commencement speaker was that evening and I certainly dont remember anything they said. So…acknowledging that fact-if I cant make this commencement speech memorable-I will at least try to make it short. The Universitys slogan is,;What starts here changes the world.;I have to admit-I kinda like it.;What starts here changes the world.;Tonight there are almost 8,000 students graduating from UT.That great paragon of analytical rigor, Ask.Com says that the average American will meet 10,000 people in their life time.Thats a lot of folks. But, if every one of you changed the lives of just ten people-and each one of those folks changed the lives of another ten people-just ten-then in five generations-125 years-the class of 2014 will have changed the lives of 800 million people.800 million people-think of it-over twice the population of the ed States. Go one more generation and you can change the entire population of the world-8 billion people. If you think its hard to change the lives of ten people-change their lives forever-youre wrong.I saw it happen every day in Iraq and Afghanistan.A young Army officer makes a decision to go left instead of right down a road in Baghdad and the ten soldiers in his squad are saved from close-in ambush. In Kandahar province, Afghanistan, a non-commissioned officer from the Female Engagement Team senses something isnt right and directs the infantry platoon away from a 500 pound IED, saving the lives of a dozen soldiers. But, if you think about it, not only were these soldiers saved by the decisions of one person, but their children yet unborn-were also saved. And their childrens children-were saved.Generations were saved by one decision-by one person. But changing the world can happen anywhere and anyone can do it.So, what starts here can indeed change the world, but the question is…what will the world look like after you change it?Well, I am confident that it will look much, much better, but if you will humor this old sailor for just a moment, I have a few suggestions that may help you on your way to a better a world. And while these lessons were learned during my time in the military, I can assure you that it matters not whether you ever served a day in uniform. It matters not your gender, your ethnic or religious background, your orientation, or your social status. Our struggles in this world are similar and the lessons to overcome those struggles and to move forward-changing ourselves and the world around us-will apply equally to all.I have been a Navy SEAL for 36 years. But it all began when I left UT for Basic SEAL training in Coronado, California.Basic SEAL training is six months of long torturous runs in the soft sand, midnight swims in the cold water off San Diego, obstacles courses, unending calisthenics, days without sleep and always being cold, wet and miserable. It is six months of being constantly harassed by professionally trained warriors who seek to find the weak of mind and body and eliminate them from ever becoming a Navy SEAL.But, the training also seeks to find those students who can lead in an environment of constant stress, chaos, failure and hardships. To me basic SEAL training was a life time of challenges crammed into six months. So, here are the ten lessons I learned from basic SEAL training that hopefully will be of value to you as you move forward in life.Every morning in basic SEAL training, my instructors, who at the time were all Vietnam veterans, would show up in my barracks room and the first thing they would inspect was your bed.If you did it right, the corners would be square, the covers pulled tight, the pillow centered just under the headboard and the extra blanket folded neatly at the foot of the rack-rack-thats Navy talk for bed.It was a simple task-mundane at best. But every morning we were required to make our bed to perfection. It seemed a little ridiculous at the time, particularly in light of the fact that were aspiring to be real warriors, tough battle hardened SEALs-but the wisdom of this simple act has been proven to me many times over.201503/366866上饶脱毛哪家好上饶那里做双眼皮好些
